National Writing Competition
Majlis Atfalul Ahmadiyya Canada has initiated the Young Authors Awards 2024, an Essay Writing Competition for both Mayar-e-Sagheer and Mayar-e-Kabeer Atfal. The competition aims to inspire Atfal to research and improve their writing skills as well as to increase their knowledge. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each English, French and Urdu Categories

All essays must be typed and submitted online. Submit your essays using the form below
Essay word length Mayar-e-Sagheer: 600 – 800
Essay word length Mayar-e-Kabeer: 1000 – 1200
Essays will be evaluated based on content, coherence, originality, and adherence to the topic. Essays can be written in English, French or Urdu. However, a Atfal may submit an essay in only one language.
- The essay should be an author’s own original work.
- Prepositions are not included in the word count.
- Essays in English and French should be typed. Essays in Urdu may be handwritten.
- Essays should be fully referenced.
- The first page of the essay should be the title page and should include the author’s full name, member code, Majlis, email and postal address and a contact telephone number.
